About the artist
Janet Stearns is a graduate of MA College of Art and has pursued a career as a corporate commercial photographer for 30 years. Now shifting her creative focus to personal photographic work, she is also transforming its visual power into artwork in mediums including pastel, linocut, and watercolor.
“It excites me to create an image that succeeds in showing the ability of light to transform the simplest moment into something special. My goal as an artist is to continue to create a body of work that inspires in the viewer a new experience or, the memory of a time or place.”
